An aluminum framework was constructed to provide structural support, as the van’s walls were made of 12mm phenolic plywood, which made it impractical to securely attach any fixtures directly to them. To enhance functionality and ease of use, gas struts were installed, allowing the bed to be raised and lowered effortlessly.
